Do you have a pool and small children or four-legged pets at home?

That's a combination that can lead to disaster in most cases. You leave your little one unattended by the pool for a while and then you don't want to think about the possible consequences.

That's why we've chosen a product ELBO-073that can save the life of a child or pet in a more serious moment. The ELBO-73 pool alarm is just the watchdog that saves lives in case of an unwanted event. With the pool alarm you can prevent accidents for less than 1.600,-CZK and that's worth it!

I probably don't need to tell you that electronic pool level monitoring devices are not always 100%. If you neglect to change the battery, or there is a fault with the device, well, anything is possible. So first of all, before using the Elektrobock pool alarm, check the batteries in the yellow level sensor, preferably for each season replace the batteries with AA 1.5V 2pc type.

What is a pool alarm?

It is an electronic safety device that monitors the level of your pool. That is , it monitors the movement of the pool's water level when you are just out of visible range of the pool and will automatically send a signal to trigger a siren if any child or animal falls into the water. For the wireless alarm, we should find the most suitable place to install the sensor locatedThe sensor should be installed in a suitable location on the surface of the pool water and the receiving device should be installed in a conventional socket. These two elements are tuned to the same frequency, in our case Fn = 433.92Mhz, and it is therefore evident that the transmission between the transmittingtransmitter, i.e. the level sensor and the receiver in the socket, has a certain limitation in the distance of the signal range. The manufacture of the pool wireless alarm states the distances between the two components have a maximum range of 300m in an open area and 30m in a built-up area.

Setting up the pool wireless alarm

Thewave sensor, i.e. the transmitter, works by measuring the acceleration of movement and tilt during a wave. The pool alarm can be set to a level of sensitivity to water level rise. For covered pools without filtration, the maximum sensitivity can be used, whereas for uncovered pools with filtration, set the sensitivity to low.

Divide the transmitter by loosening the 3 screws on the bottom and separating the bottom from the top. On the printed circuit board, there is a black knob to adjust the sensitivity. Turn the knob to the right to increase the sensitivity. Once set, fold the transmitter back into its original form, taking care to assemble it correctly and tighten the screws to prevent water from getting inside.

After adjusting the sensitivity and folding, test the transmitter in the pool to see if the sensitivity setting is ideal for your pool. Keep making these adjustments until you are satisfied with the sensitivity of the transducer.

The moment you are using the pool, just take the sensor out of the water, but there is no need to turn it off completely. The sensor remains in standby mode. To use it again, simply place the sensor back on the water surface and about 2 minutes after the water level has calmed down, the sensor will automatically activate by indicating with a short beep.

The receiver of the wireless pool alarm is located in a standard 230V socket and it is necessary to keep within the permissible distance from the sensor.

Pairing the transmitter and receiver

The transmitter is factory paired with the siren. You can test this by inserting the siren into a socket and triggering an alarm with the transmitter. If the siren does not sound, pair the devices again.

Press the black button on the back of the siren for 1.5 seconds, the red LED will flash and the receiver is ready to learn. Trigger the alarm using the transmitter and then the receiver will sound the siren after pairing. Then test again if they are paired together correctly.

Indication of the siren status by LED :

  • flashes 2x every 2 seconds = empty memory
  • flashes 1x every 1 second = learning mode
  • Flashes 1x every 0.5 seconds = low battery in the transmitter
  • LED on = paired

The wirelesspool alarm is designed to be used in any pool during the swimming season. One pool alarm can monitor a pool of up to 60 square meters. If you have a larger pool, we recommend using more than three of these pool alarms.

Where to place the pool alarm sensor ?

  • In a place where there is a risk of falling into the water
  • In an easily accessible place to switch the alarm on and off
  • In the corner of the pool where the wave is most intense
  • In a place where there are no wave-inducing filters or trickles
