Philips Actinic Fluorescent Lamps type BL TL-D (-K),PL-L and PL-S are ideal for insect control. These actinic fluorescent lamps have a wide range of applications for the reprographic industry in illumination. These fluorescent lamps have a perfect spectrum for attracting insects. They also have virtually no UV-B output and are thus perfectly safe. In addition, they have a special "master" coating to improve efficiency, initial UV-A output and maintenance. What's more, they are the lowest mercury content and 100% lead-free fluorescent lamps. Combined with their high efficiency, these fluorescent lamps represent the best choice for the environment. In addition, for added safety, a special "Secura" coating can be used which, in the event of a tube breakage, will not allow the glass to spill over the surroundings but will keep them together in that coating. This is mainly used in the food industry where the glass must not get on the food. If a special "Secura" coating is used, the tube meets strict HACCP requirements.
