Philips is always working on innovations for its LED products. Now it has come up with an improved replacement for the 100W bulb with even lower wattage, which has an efficiency of 84.5 lm/W, available from January 2015. You can order it today.
This innovative bulb has the characteristics of its predecessor, the PHILIPS MASTER LEDbulb 20-100W, but also has increased efficiency and associated energy savings. So it now consumes only 18W. And it shines like a 100W tungsten bulb.
Earlier in our short comparison test we tested that the 20-100W LED bulb really does replace a 100W bulb and not only that. It will also replace energy saving 20W bulbs/fluorescent lamps, which it outperforms mainly in the speed of rise to 100% power and the number of switching cycles. The test can be read in the article "TEST - LED bulb that can replace a 100W incandescent bulb".
