Fluorescent tubes with LED technology

Would you like to replace your old fluorescent bulbs with new ones and do something for the environment at the same time? Instead of traditional fluorescent lamps, you can get fluorescent tubes using the latest trend, LED technology.

In our offer you can find Philips LED fluorescent lamps and you can choose from several types, depending on your requirements for a new light source. You will find fluorescent lamps with a length of sixty, one hundred and twenty or one hundred and fifty centimetres.

Philips LEDtube LED fluorescent lamps are an affordable replacement for the classic T8 fluorescent lamps. They emit cold daylight and have a lifetime estimated by the manufacturer of up to thirty thousand hours. In addition, they are more environmentally friendly because, unlike the old fluorescent lamps, they do not contain toxic mercury and, thanks to LED technology, they save electricity.

The tube can be used for light sources with an electromagnetic ballast, or choke, but beware, you must use the EMP050 safety element, which you can also find in our offer. The device disables the ballast, which otherwise remains in the luminaire when replacing a conventional fluorescent lamp with a more modern LED. The safety element is installed in the light source instead of the original starter. If you are not an electrical expert and do not know what the components in a fluorescent lamp are supposed to do, you can read our separate article on the functioning of a fluorescent lamp.

However, you don't have to worry about the safety feature marring the lamp in any way. In fact, it has a unique design and together with the fluorescent lamp creates a unified visual appearance.

If you are interested in LED fluorescent lamps, it is of course possible to buy them without the safety element, but they must then be installed directly on a 220 to 240 volt power supply without a ballast.

Do not hesitate to try out the new fluorescent lamps, they are ideal not only for general lighting.
